Now lets start with my dad.He was the first educated youth from his village in Thuraiyur,TamilNadu. He was a Customs official,a clerk and was close to becoming an IAS officer before he joined IOB as an officer. He retired last year with 30 years of untiring work and humble recognition. He was Senior Manager when he retired. My dad has been the fear of my life ever since i was small.Dad was mostly working away from home so that meant he was not home 6 days in a week and bang! he will land on all Sundays to teach us .In a way i hated those Sundays because i never wanted to study. But you know how dads are they just want their kids to be the Einstein. As mom puts it apple to daddy's eyes.Yeah that was my bro not me .I was more of moms boy.
Lets get to the point here . Now having said so much about my dad its time i related somethings in life to dad.I never felt comfortable with dad teaching me and he always felt that i would never be like my elder brother. But hey i had my ways.At a very young age i wanted to do what interested me.So i failed for the first time in 2nd standard courtesy my report cards from St.Johns M.H.S.S.Whoa! you should have seen dad he was going mad.But mom supported me and by moms love and her confidence in me i passed through the toughest part in life(spelt school) with flying colors.
Of all these things i have told about my dad some of the things that i owe my dad are
1.)Newspaper reading - i have an amazing recollection of almost anything i read so all news items are fresh in my memory
2.) The heart of going through some boring stuff again and again till i get it - this was my dad
and yes the biggest of all is making me crack virtually every Bank entrance test.I cracked
- Indian Overseas Bank
- State Bank of India
- Canara Bank
- Allahabad Bank
